Description
The Cajamar Group Foundation is organizing the in-person conference “Technologies in Ruminant Meat Production,” to be held on February 24, 2026, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Extremadura (Cáceres) . The event will address extensive ruminant production in Spain , its current challenges, and the role of digital transformation in improving farm management, along with its contribution to rural development and fire prevention .
The event will be held in collaboration with Provacuno , INTEROVIC , Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de Extremadura , the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Cáceres and the University of Extremadura .
Content and approach
The session will focus on:
- Digital technologies for monitoring and controlling extensive livestock (monitoring, connectivity, collars, precision livestock tools, etc.).
- Ecosystem services of extensive livestock farming, with special attention to fire prevention .
- Market opportunities and debate on the future of the sector , with a final round table on challenges and innovation.
