IoT and cybersecurity in rural environments: trends and good practices
Description
The use of technologies such as IoT and artificial intelligence in environments such as agriculture , heritage conservation or the generation of renewable energy for use in rural energy communities has created specific challenges in the field of cybersecurity .
This summer course will analyze the implementations of IoT and artificial intelligence technologies in environments such as agriculture , heritage conservation or the generation of renewable energy for use in rural energy communities; as well as the specific challenges in the field of cybersecurity and the solutions needed to develop safe and reliable environments in rural areas. Not in vain, digital development in rural environments and communities allows the incorporation of new areas of work into the traditional economy.

This summer course is funded through the "Smart Rural IoT and Secured Environments" chair, associated with the promotion action of the Cybersecurity Chairs in Spain of the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE).
This initiative is carried out within the framework of the funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (Next Generation), financed by the EU, the Spanish Government's plan to modernize the Spanish economy, recover economic growth and job creation, strengthen inclusive and resilient economic reconstruction after the COVID-19 Crisis and respond to the challenges of the next decade.
