Description

It is considered a suitable instrument for the mobility of students and faculty, with the aim of promoting the European spirit and increasing their technical and linguistic skills, as well as strengthening the international cooperation relationship between the Manresa Ecological School and its leading Danish partner, Kalo Okologisk Landgbrusskole.

The objectives were established in the strategic document "Plan to Promote the Internationalization of the Manresa Ecological School," which is incorporated into the annual plan and aims to boost the European presence of the Manresa Agricultural School as a benchmark for specialized vocational training in agroecology and climate action.

Description of activities
  • A1.1 Twelve first-year students of the Organic Agricultural Production training have completed 60 hours (two weeks) of internships entirely in English at the facilities of Kalo Okologisk, an internationally renowned center specializing in organic vocational training in Denmark.
  • A1.2 A teacher from the Manresa Ecological Agricultural School has completed a 30-hour (one-week) pedagogical training placement in the form of job shadowing at the Kalo Okologisk Landgbrusskole organic farming school, a leading organisation for vocational training in organic farming in Denmark and a benchmark in international cooperation.
  • A1.3 The twelve students, the two accompanying teachers and the student teacher have carried out activities to learn about Danish social structure and culture.

  • A2.1 Activities have been disseminated and the school's international mobility has been promoted among students, families and the general public.

  • A3.1 Agreements have been signed between the Manresa Ecological Agricultural School and the Kalo Okologisk Landgbrusskol to design a framework for cooperation and stable relations for mutual support of international cooperation. The process is currently under development.
Objectives

INSTITUTIONAL OBJECTIVES:

  • OI1. Promote the international mobility of the Manresa Ecological School's staff, primarily students and faculty.
  • OI2. Promote the School as a benchmark for European international cooperation in the field of agroecological vocational training.
  • OI3. Establish a strong relationship with the international school Kalo Okologisk Landgbrusskole, which also specializes in organic farming training.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

  • OE1.- Promote educational mobility and international cooperation among students, faculty, and support staff to access new technologies in the field of agroecological production, processing, and marketing of agricultural products, as well as teaching methodologies and procedures that improve the quality of teaching.
  • OE2.- To be recognized as an international benchmark in the training and dissemination of organic agricultural production, as well as an example of European mobility among its stakeholders.
  • OE3.- Establish stable relationships with international partners related to the activities and objectives of the School, offering hospitality and support to the mobility of the partners' agents, disseminating the strengths of our school
Results
  • R1.1.1 Students have improved their practical knowledge of typical Danish agroecological production techniques and methods, as well as the processes for processing and marketing organic products.
  • R1.1.2 Students have improved their knowledge of technical, colloquial, and formal English and have increased their confidence in using the language.
  • R1.1.3 Two students with learning disabilities have responded spectacularly to the life experience the project has offered them and have become more involved than ever before in the practical activities carried out at school. They have gained exceptional acceptance among their peers and have launched themselves into the use of English.
  • R1.2.1 The mobile teachers have learned in depth about Denmark's dual internship system.
  • R1.2.2 The teaching staff has been trained in the dual practice system.
  • R1.3.1 Participants have increased their knowledge of Danish society and customs.
  • R2.1.1 News stories have been published in the media explaining the project activities.
  • R3.1.1 Negotiations have begun on a collaborative framework for promoting international mobility and mutual support between the two organic schools.
