The following activities have been carried out in the project:
Preparatory activities: The activities carried out have mainly involved the preparation and selection of students for the mobility period and contact with the host partner to organize the entire project stay.
Mobility Period Activities: 1- Trip to the Host Center - On Sunday, April 26, 2015, the students and their accompanying teacher participated in this trip. The trip was made by plane to Paris and then by bus from Paris to Villevallier, always accompanied by the teacher from the sending center. 2- Reception at the Host Center and Distribution to the Companies - The teacher's meeting took place on the afternoon of Monday, April 27, 2015, following a joint meeting between the students, company managers, the accompanying teacher from the sending partner, and the teaching staff of the host partner. At this point, introductions were made and the corresponding documentation was handed out, all at the host partner's center. 3- Meeting to explain the activities. This meeting was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, and was attended by teachers from both centers. 4- Mobility monitoring: From April 27 to May 15, 2015, monitoring visits were conducted with the participation of a teacher from the host center and the teacher from the sending center. One visit was made per student-company, and one visit per week, i.e., three visits.
Weekend Activities: During the weekends, the students and their accompanying teacher went on cultural visits with the students, organized by the host center in collaboration with the sending center. This activity included bus trips to the cultural visits on Saturdays and Sundays, May 2 and 3, and May 9 and 10. During these cultural visits, the students learned about the social and cultural environment of the host center.
Return: On May 16, 2015, the company managers accompanied the group to the reception center, and the return trip was carried out in the same manner as the outbound trip.
Conclusion and evaluation activities : 1- Evaluation of the internship period by the teaching staff at the host center, by the student after completing the report within the Mobility Tool and evaluation by the company manager. 2- Upon returning from the internship period, the students presented their work and presentations to their classmates. The results and positive impact have been significant: most students have discovered how to work and live on other European farms with the same production as in their surroundings, but in very different conditions. This translates into a very positive experience for applying the knowledge acquired to their own farms or to their future jobs.
The objectives of this mobility are essentially threefold: first, to learn about and discover agricultural production in another European region; second, to research the adaptation of agricultural businesses to the new Common Agricultural Policy; and finally, to interact with those responsible for the internship and their environment to learn a new language and culture.
Twenty students between the ages of 17 and 20 from the Intermediate Vocational Training Course in Agricultural Production participated in this project, accompanied by a teacher from the sending center.
The ability to include the Europass certificate and knowledge of both technical and French skills on your CV will facilitate your entry into the labor market.
Furthermore, most of the students researched the CAP and compared it with that of their region, finding solutions to the problems faced in Galicia when implementing new crops. In the long term, this project has the advantage of incorporating better-prepared young people with greater prospects into the labor market and creating self-employment opportunities in rural areas.
