Description

The free webinar “Water, soil and biodiversity: science against polarization” will be held on January 22, 2026 , a key event to reflect on how to produce with a long-term perspective and guide strategic decisions in the agricultural sector based on scientific evidence and practical solutions .

The meeting, lasting a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes , will present the main results of the Seeds of Change project, promoted by Cajamar and the European Climate Foundation , which has worked to reduce polarization around agricultural sustainability and generate data-based consensus.

Scientific evidence to advance sustainability

Sustainability in agriculture is often approached from opposing viewpoints that hinder real progress. In response, Seeds of Change has rigorously analyzed three fundamental pillars— water, soil, and biodiversity —with the aim of bridging opposing perspectives and providing a solid scientific basis for decision-making.

The following topics will be covered during the webinar:

  • The results of the project and the practical solutions applicable in the agri-food sector.
  • How to reduce polarization and unlock opportunities for growth, innovation, and collaboration.
  • The impact of polarization on the sector, including lost opportunities, mistrust, and roadblocks in necessary policies.

The session will conclude with an open debate to connect science, agriculture and policy , exploring how to align productivity and sustainability from a long-term vision based on data and dialogue.
