Description

This Operational Group was created with the aim of finding a solution for the use of woody scrubland with three objectives: to avoid the risks and environmental damage caused by fires and for clearing and cleaning work to be a solution to this situation by acting in areas or strips, leaving part of the surfaces uncleared, avoiding the excessive growth of the scrubland and at the same time managing the control of the areas to make it compatible with other activities such as hunting or the conservation of certain habitats that would be rejuvenated and better protected; the valorization and use of this resource obtained from clearing and cleaning work and it is in this sense that work has been going on for years for the use of this scrubland for possible commercial purposes, part of it for the production of gardening material or fencing of urban plots, parasols and hat areas in parking lots, covered in some cases of nursery or seedbed areas, etc. and achieve a new use of the woody part, with a height between 1.5 and 2.5 meters and diameters between 4 and 8 cm, which can be used as wood chips in boilers, with the possibility of developing small biomass installations that generate heat and/or energy distribution services for municipalities and small towns.
