Fighting the olive fly

Creation of an Operational Group for the development of an Innovative Project, which aims to increase the competitiveness of the Catalan olive oil sector through the production of high-quality olive oil, minimising the environmental impact of the control methods of the main key pest of olive trees in Catalonia: the olive fly.

These strategies will be based on environmentally friendly methods, mainly on the mass capture of B. oleae adults, combined with the application of kaolin, diatomaceous earth, Beauveria bassiana and spinosad.
