Description
Creation of an Organisation of Producers of extensive organic herbaceous crops through an innovative system of transfer and organisation, in which different actors from diverse fields are integrated to exchange knowledge.
Objectives
- Establish an effective knowledge transfer network and organization system by integrating agents with different profiles.
- Create a PO (Producer Organization) for organic products that allows producers to obtain a higher margin for their products and reduce costs.
- Disseminate the project results so that they reach a wide range of recipients (farmers, buyers, public administrations, research centres, technology companies and end consumers).
Results
- Improving farmers' knowledge of organic production and marketing.
- Agrosystem management and profitable farm management.
- Increased interaction and exchange of knowledge between different actors.
- Laying the foundations for promoting the future creation of a PO for organic products based on improved knowledge of associations to enable farmers to gain greater negotiating power and offer consumers healthier, sustainable and quality products.
- Dissemination of project results to a wide number of stakeholders
