The 2nd edition of AgroMurcia will be held at the El Batel Auditorium and Conference Centre (Cartagena) on 12 and 13 March 2025, following its successful first edition in the same month in 2023. On March 5, the Lleida fairgrounds will be the setting for the second edition of the National Congress of Agricultural Service Companies. This professional event is shaping up to be a crucial meeting point to highlight and reinforce the fundamental role of service companies in the agricultural sector. Under the general name of "AGRISERVICIOS", the event will bring together leading companies and specialists in agricultural services in Lleida, providing a space for analysis and the exchange of ideas on the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. The Plant Health and Certification Service is the technical unit that carries out the functions of control and certification of seeds and nursery plants, the management of surveillance and control plans for plant pests and diseases, the marketing and use of phytosanitary products and their evaluation, and technical advice to the production sector on plant health and seed production.

The VIII Technical Forum on Plant Health organized by the Center for Plant Health and Certification will take place on November 28 in the Auditorium of the Mediterranean Agricultural Institute of Zaragoza

To address key issues in pigeon breeding, we will have the participation of an animal health expert from the University of Valladolid (UVA), who will share key knowledge on maintaining optimal health in birds and the facilities necessary to guarantee animal welfare and production efficiency. In addition, producers who are already engaged in this activity will present their experiences and the main challenges they face on a daily basis, providing a realistic view of the sector. Finally, the role of catering as a driver of demand for pigeons will be analysed, highlighting the interest in this product in local gastronomy and its potential as a differentiating element in the culinary offering of the region.

On the verge of its 40th edition, BioCultura Madrid will once again show that “bio” is not/was not a fad and that it is here to stay. The fair will be held in November at the Feria de Madrid-Ifema venue. The sectors will be: Organic food; Certified eco-natural cosmetics and hygiene; Healthy home; Sustainable fashion; Eco Lifestyle; Health and Wellbeing, NGOs… It is expected that 400 exhibitors will participate and that more than 50,000 visitors will once again be expected. More than 300 activities will be held in parallel to the exhibition. Ángeles Parra, director of the fair, commented that “it would be very difficult to summarise these almost 40 years of fairs, activism, rebellion and social awareness. We have never been a fad. Time has proved us right. The future will be ecological or it will not be.”

The 2nd Congress of Agricultural Engineering, organised by the Council of Official Colleges of Technical Agricultural Engineers of Spain and the Official College of Technical Agricultural and Forestry Engineers of Catalonia, will take place on 13 and 14 November at the Higher Technical School of Agri-Food and Forestry Engineering and Veterinary Medicine of the University of Lleida. On September 27 , at the IFAPA Rancho de la Merced facilities in Jerez de la Frontera, the second open day of the seminar will be held. This session, which will begin at 9:00 a.m. , will feature a series of technical presentations focused on innovation and sustainability in Andalusian horticulture. The Subdirectorate General for Innovation and Digitalisation has organised a new webinar of the Observatory of the Digitalisation of the Spanish Agri-Food Sector . With this event, it resumes its series of webinars after the summer break, addressing key issues related to digitalisation in the agri-food sector. The Digitalization Observatory is an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) in collaboration with the Cajamar Cooperative Group , and is developed thanks to the Next Generation funds from the European Union . The next webinar, entitled "Application of artificial intelligence in animal health monitoring" , will be held virtually on September 25 , from 12:00 to 14:00 . It will delve into the applicability of artificial intelligence systems for monitoring and controlling health in livestock farms, exploring new opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability in the sector. The first open day of the 53rd Seminar for Horticultural Technicians and Specialists will be held on September 23rd . It is organized by the Andalusian Institute for Research and Training in Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Organic Production (IFAPA) in collaboration with COITAND and MAPA. The event will take place at the IES El Picacho , in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and will begin at 10:30 a.m. The programme includes a presentation on premium horticulture and a historical overview of IFAPA in Chipiona, followed by several technical presentations that will address key topics such as: The short digital marketing channel in Andalusia.
