Webinar on food shelf life: adapting to new consumption trends

New consumer trends are evolving rapidly, driven by changes in technology, sustainability and consumer preferences. Consumers are increasingly concerned about the environmental impact of their purchases, and mental and physical health is a priority, favoring the consumption of products that promote well-being, healthy foods and self-care experiences. New alternative ingredients are being introduced into food manufacturing, food analogues (meat) whose consumption is decreasing, as well as new cooking/consumption practices that could have a direct impact on consumer food safety. New webinar on the application of artificial intelligence in animal health

The Subdirectorate General for Innovation and Digitalisation has organised a new webinar of the Observatory of the Digitalisation of the Spanish Agri-Food Sector . With this event, it resumes its series of webinars after the summer break, addressing key issues related to digitalisation in the agri-food sector. The Digitalization Observatory is an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) in collaboration with the Cajamar Cooperative Group , and is developed thanks to the Next Generation funds from the European Union . The event is organized by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and Healthcare (EDQM) , belonging to the Council of Europe and the AESAN , under the title “Recent developments in food contact materials and articles”. Workshop on herbicides with Prosulfocarb in cereals (InnovAC-Eco Project)

The Union of Farmers and Ranchers of La Rioja (UAGR) has organized a day dedicated to the presentation of the InnovAC-Eco Project , dedicated to studying the presence of phytosanitary residues in olive oils, originating from drifts of applications on other crops, focusing on the herbicidal active ingredient Prosulfocarb. Even if the maximum limits authorized for consumption are not exceeded, their mere presence does represent an impediment to the certification of organic oils , thus reducing their profitability. Technology to prevent drift from phytosanitary treatments Within the framework of this project, a prototype technology capable of detecting product drift in real time has been developed. The work has also served to raise awareness among cereal growers about the drift caused by their treatments. No prior registration is required.
