On May 8 , the town of Alcañiz , Teruel, will host a new edition of CULTIVA 2025 , the Winter Grain Transfer Conference , a landmark event on the national agricultural calendar. Held on an irrigated farm, the event will bring together more than a thousand industry professionals to learn firsthand about the latest innovations in grain cultivation. Organized with the support of the Arax Network and the Agro-Food Cooperatives of Aragon , CULTIVA has established itself as the leading platform for the transfer of agricultural knowledge in the cereal sector. Technicians , farmers , researchers , and companies will gather at this event, which combines field trials, technology exhibitions, and opportunities for dialogue on sustainability, productivity, and digitalization in the agricultural sector. CULTIVA 2025 will once again be a key venue for discovering the most advanced solutions in varieties, fertilization, plant health, and agronomic management, with the aim of boosting the competitiveness of cereal farms, especially in irrigated areas. Attendance at the event is free and represents a unique opportunity to stay up-to-date and connect with key players in the agri-food sector.

Avocado cultivation continues to grow in Spain thanks to the professionalization of the sector. The 4th Avocado Technical Conference, organized by the Interempresas Group and TROPS, will cover topics such as the evolution of the Avocado and Mango Interprofessional Association, plant health, and cultivation in Levante. The development of digital solutions in the agricultural sector will also be addressed. This year, the event will be held in the Valencian Community, one of the country's main production areas. Within the framework of the PITAMED Operational Group ( Sustainable cultivation of pitaya in Spain) , the next Presentation Day of the PITAMED Operational Group has been announced, which will take place next Wednesday, April 23, 2025 , in the ICIA Auditorium (Finca “Isamar” – Carretera de El Boquerón s/n, Valle Guerra – La Laguna). This event aims to showcase the activities and progress of the PITAMED Operational Group, which focuses on innovation for pitaya cultivation in Mediterranean environments . Researchers and experts from various organizations will participate, addressing key topics such as crop management, water and nutritional demand, pruning, post-harvest management, and new applied technologies. CARINA is a four-year transnational Innovation Action (until October 2026), supported by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme. The project focuses on new sustainable and diversified agricultural systems, including two new oilseed crops, carinata and camelina, capable of providing multiple low-iLUC feedstocks for the bio-based economy.
