The National Centre for Scientific Research (NCSR) Demokritos is the largest multidisciplinary research centre in Greece, with approximately 1000 employees and over 50 years of innovative scientific achievements and contributions to the Greek economy and society. It was a major partner in several national technological initiatives such as the acquisition and operation of high-performance computing facilities and the establishment of high-speed computing networks in the country and is currently a leader or member of multiple national and European infrastructures.
