The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) is organizing the 2nd National Meeting of the CULTIVA Program , which will be held on November 6, 2025, in Hall 4 of IFEMA Madrid , within the framework of the first edition of EXPO SAGRIS, the Agriculture and Livestock Show , which will be open from November 6 to 8. This demonstrates MAPA's support and participation in this new trade fair in the agri-food sector, where the agency also collaborates on other activities such as the Forum "Being a Farmer and Livestock Breeder is Profitable" and the "Workshop Against Food Waste."

Under the slogan “The countryside comes to the city,” EXPO SAGRIS, organized by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with ALAS (Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture) , will bring together professionals, institutions, families, and schoolchildren over three days for a wide-ranging program of forums, educational workshops, stands, and themed plazas . More than one hundred activities will showcase the innovation, talent, and sociocultural richness of the agri-food sector, with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food ( MAPA) playing a prominent role as the main sponsor .

II National Meeting of the CULTIVA Program

The meeting will bring together, on November 6th, in Hall 4 of IFEMA Madrid , the participants in the CULTIVA Program —young farmers and livestock breeders, hosts of model farms and managing entities— from its launch in 2020 until the last call in 2024. This program, promoted by the MAPA, aims to facilitate training stays in model farms to promote practical learning, innovation and generational renewal in rural areas .

The day's program will include:

🕦 11:30 – 11:50 | Official opening by Isabel Bombal , Director General of Rural Development, Innovation and Agri-food Training (MAPA).
🕛 11:50 – 13:00 | CULTIVA experiences shared by young people, hosts, entities and representatives of MAPA.
🕐 13:00 – 13:30 | Recognition ceremony for the best model farms of 2024 , with the presentation of diplomas by Minister Luis Planas .
🍷 13:30 – 14:30 | Spanish wine and networking .
🕓 16:00 – 18:00 | Meeting tables between young people and hosts , focused on topics such as women and rural leadership, organic farming, climate change, technological innovation and cooperativism .

A space for learning, inspiration, and intergenerational cooperation

The CULTIVA Program has become a key strategic tool of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) for promoting practical training, intergenerational cooperation, and innovation in the agricultural sector . This second National Meeting will serve to share results, recognize best practices, and strengthen the network of model farms that promote peer learning throughout the country.

In addition, within the framework of EXPO SAGRIS, the Ministry will also participate with other activities such as the Forum “Being a farmer and rancher is profitable” , sponsored by McDonald's, and the “Workshop against food waste” in the Didactic Classroom of the Plaza de la Juventud, where responsible consumption habits will be promoted among the youngest.
