GO HELIXCONTROL: Helixcontrol is the innovation project for the implementation and validation of an application to promote the digitalization of snail farms.
- Type Grupo operativo
- Status In progress
- Execution 2024 -2027
- Scope Supraautonómico
- Autonomous community Castilla y León; Cataluña; Comunitat Valenciana
- Main source of financing PEPAC 2023-2027
- Project website GO Helixcontrol
The digitalisation of all the accumulated data and its specialised validation will allow the software that is put into use to be truly useful for all users. Likewise, the creation of software or an application for a sector as specific as Heliciculture can also be a good example for other types of small agricultural production, in which large data management companies are not interested and are far from being able to digitalise at the same pace as other livestock sectors.
Currently, the heliciculture sector does not have any specific software or application on the market that allows the digitalization of snail farms. HELIXCONTROL as an innovative project is an opportunity to develop innovative products that help control different areas of snail farming, such as microbiology and animal health, which are essential in a sector such as heliciculture, which also does not have access to approved medicines for snails.
- Standardization of analog data on fattening farms.
- Standardization of analog data on breeding farms (maternity).
- Comparison of analog and digital data from fattening farms.
- Comparison of analog and digital data on breeding farms.
- Digital data fattening.
- Digitalization of reproduction data.
- Divulgation
Having specific software or application on the market that allows the digitalization of snail farms that helps improve different aspects: health, production and economic.
- A specialized application will not only allow data to be collected in a manner that is faithful to the type of production, but will also result in improvements to it.
- Standardising production data at different stages will not only promote a better overall understanding of the situation of snail farms, but will also enable recommendations to be made for future improvements.
- Improvements to snail farms will ensure their economic viability and will also improve their image for future producers. Ultimately, the economic improvements will also be supported by savings in inputs, which leads to less environmental carbonisation.
