Operational Group: Implementation of a livestock waste management system with energy use

The main objective of the creation of the Operational Group is to draft a project, studying the technical, environmental, social, and economic feasibility of a manure and slurry management model.

Based on anaerobic digestion, the project aims to mitigate the negative effects of anaerobic digestion on intensive farms, generating energy and social benefits through the energy utilization of the gases generated and the reduction of odors, as well as achieving a reduction in greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions. The project also aims to design a system for utilizing and recovering the products of digestion: biogas and digestate.
