The BIO4TRACE Operational Group is present at FIGAN with a specialized conference on native pig breeds.
On March 26th, from 12:00 to 14:00, the International Fair for Animal Production (FIGAN) will host the presentation of the BIO4TRACE Operational Group , an innovative project aimed at traceability and sustainability in pork production. The event will feature an introduction to the project and presentations by the participating associations. A roundtable discussion will then be moderated by Guillermo Ramis of the University of Murcia , with the participation of representatives from the Celtic Pig Breeders Association, the Associated Breeders of the Chato Murciano Pig Breeders Association, and the Black Canary Pig Breeders Association. The discussion will address the challenges and opportunities of breeding and traceability of these native breeds. At the end of the day, attendees will be able to enjoy a tasting of products derived from these pork varieties, highlighting the quality and diversity of national production. Industry professionals, researchers, and representatives of livestock associations are expected to attend.
