The subtropical fruit sector will meet on May 13 and 14 at the technical conference "Innovations and Challenges in Plant Health of Subtropical Fruit Trees," organized by Phytoma in collaboration with TROPS and the Regional Government of Andalusia. This essential event will bring together researchers, technicians, advisors, companies, and public administrations to address the main health challenges of these crops and share the latest technological and sustainable management solutions. With an intensive and highly specialized program , the sessions will feature more than 30 top-level speakers, covering everything from integrated pest management in avocado, mango, papaya, and custard apple crops to the most advanced early detection techniques, biological control, and semiochemical applications. Key topics such as functional biodiversity, technical advice, and the impact of new regulations on integrated production will also be discussed. Since 1985, the AIDA Animal Production Conference has become the reference forum in the Spanish-speaking world for the exchange of scientific and technical advances of interest among professionals and researchers in Animal Production. This 21st edition brings two important new features. Firstly, the meeting will be held at a new venue, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Zaragoza. Secondly, a new section dedicated to precision livestock farming is being incorporated, which is added to the usual ones (genetics, nutrition/feeding, livestock systems/economics and management, reproduction, animal health and welfare and product quality).

Experts will discuss the challenges of the food industry of the future in Madrid.

On June 17 , the General Council of Veterinary Colleges of Spain will host a conference focused on the challenges of "The Food Company of the Future," organized in collaboration with the Sustainable Innovation Group (GIS) . The event will bring together leading representatives of the agri-food sector to analyze the main challenges and opportunities that will shape the future of the industry. The event, which will be held at the Council's headquarters (Calle Villanueva, 11, Madrid), will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a reception for attendees and will be opened at 10:00 a.m. by Ricardo Migueláñez , GIS coordinator. Mauricio García de Quevedo , Director General of FIAB , will open the program with a presentation on the future of the food industry. Two roundtable discussions will follow: 10:30 a.m .: Sustainability and innovation in agri-food companies , with the participation of representatives from Banco Sabadell, Florette, Consum and Pascual . 11:30 a.m .: Communication and marketing in the food industry of the future , with speakers from DIA, Grupo InterÓleo and Pesca España .
