Throughout the Seminar, Professor Montull will present the agronomic bases on which this HATD for Weed Control in Extensive Crops is based.

During this session, the Recicland project will be presented , and theory will be taught on the environmental consequences of hazardous waste management and on the internal management of pesticide containers, broth residues, and expired or discontinued products on the farm, as well as on the management of this hazardous waste off-farm.

The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural World and Environment of the Government of La Rioja organizes the Sustainable management and soil quality conference, within the framework of the European project " Phos4Cycle. Monitoring of phosphates in agricultural and livestock activities for the sustainable use of soil and water, of the Interreg Sudoe program ". The Phos4Cycle project aims to develop a common strategy and action plan for the management of phosphates associated with agricultural and livestock activity in rural areas. Among the strategies evaluated in the project is the application of biochar in different crops. The use of biochar has been increasing in recent years due to the environmental benefits attributed to it. This conference will discuss how the application of biochar affects soil quality and carbon dynamics, as well as experiences of its use in different crops. Abanca Fair Green Week of Galicia The entire value chain of the primary sector, from agriculture, machinery and livestock, to the final product or gastronomic tourism, will once again be the hallmark of the event. The processes for preparing organic matter for use as fertilizer must allow for sustainable management of crop nutrition, increasing crop productivity . To achieve this, the goal is to maintain or increase organic matter levels, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and water pollution by increasing carbon sink capacity, improving soil biodiversity by avoiding contamination by heavy metals and other pollutants, and promoting their management as "living soils." This event will showcase different technologies that allow reducing the environmental impact of preparing organic fertilizer products, with strategies that allow reducing nitrogen losses, such as slurry acidification, composting and biomethanization of waste.
