The 2nd edition of AgroMurcia will be held at the El Batel Auditorium and Conference Centre (Cartagena) on 12 and 13 March 2025, following its successful first edition in the same month in 2023. On March 5, the Lleida fairgrounds will be the setting for the second edition of the National Congress of Agricultural Service Companies. This professional event is shaping up to be a crucial meeting point to highlight and reinforce the fundamental role of service companies in the agricultural sector. Under the general name of "AGRISERVICIOS", the event will bring together leading companies and specialists in agricultural services in Lleida, providing a space for analysis and the exchange of ideas on the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. Topics such as the digitalisation of agricultural services , efficiency in the use of resources, inter-company collaboration, generational change and the role of young people in the industry, as well as technological innovations and sustainable practices that are revolutionising the sector will be addressed . As was the case in the 2023 edition in Ciudad Real, AGRISERVICIOS is a valuable opportunity to connect, learn and collaborate with other professionals committed to progress and sustainability in agriculture. The event is positioned as an ideal platform for professional development and networking, allowing attendees to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in the sector. The 1st National Meeting of Young People and Hosts participating in the Cultiva Program will take place in Madrid on November 27. This program promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food provides young people from rural areas with access to on-site training, guided by the managers of model farms, examples of good practices and the implementation of innovation in the sector. In order to bring together the participants of the CULTIVA Programme (young people, hosts of model farms and management entities) from the 2020 to 2023 editions, and to create a network among all of them to discuss this initiative and the generational change in the agricultural sector, this meeting will take place, which will include discussion panels and activities that promote the exchange of experiences. To address key issues in pigeon breeding, we will have the participation of an animal health expert from the University of Valladolid (UVA), who will share key knowledge on maintaining optimal health in birds and the facilities necessary to guarantee animal welfare and production efficiency. In addition, producers who are already engaged in this activity will present their experiences and the main challenges they face on a daily basis, providing a realistic view of the sector. Finally, the role of catering as a driver of demand for pigeons will be analysed, highlighting the interest in this product in local gastronomy and its potential as a differentiating element in the culinary offering of the region.

On the verge of its 40th edition, BioCultura Madrid will once again show that “bio” is not/was not a fad and that it is here to stay. The fair will be held in November at the Feria de Madrid-Ifema venue. The sectors will be: Organic food; Certified eco-natural cosmetics and hygiene; Healthy home; Sustainable fashion; Eco Lifestyle; Health and Wellbeing, NGOs… It is expected that 400 exhibitors will participate and that more than 50,000 visitors will once again be expected. More than 300 activities will be held in parallel to the exhibition. Ángeles Parra, director of the fair, commented that “it would be very difficult to summarise these almost 40 years of fairs, activism, rebellion and social awareness. We have never been a fad. Time has proved us right. The future will be ecological or it will not be.”

The 57th edition of the Lorca livestock, industrial and agri-food fair, SEPOR, will be held on October 28, 29, 30 and 31, 2024 in Lorca, Murcia Its programme includes the presentation of new products and solutions for the sector, as well as an extensive programme of conferences and talks.

The Subdirectorate General for Innovation and Digitalisation has organised a new webinar of the Observatory of the Digitalisation of the Spanish Agri-Food Sector . With this event, it resumes its series of webinars after the summer break, addressing key issues related to digitalisation in the agri-food sector. The Digitalization Observatory is an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) in collaboration with the Cajamar Cooperative Group , and is developed thanks to the Next Generation funds from the European Union . The next webinar, entitled "Application of artificial intelligence in animal health monitoring" , will be held virtually on September 25 , from 12:00 to 14:00 . It will delve into the applicability of artificial intelligence systems for monitoring and controlling health in livestock farms, exploring new opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability in the sector. From 10 to 13 September 2024 , Edinburgh will become the capital of agricultural advice. The city will host the respective annual sessions of the three main European rural advice networks (IALB, EUFRAS and SEASN) that come together to form this major event with the motto "Adapting to zero emissions" for 2024. The event thus consolidates its position as the largest agricultural advice and consultancy conference in Europe. 63rd IALB, 13th EUFRAS and 10th SEASN 2024 Conferences The aim of the conference is to bring together consultants from across Europe to explore how different countries integrate education and research with consultancy to deliver best practice and achieve truly effective information and innovation transfer . This year, the programme promises an interesting mix of inspiration, learning, networking and knowledge for delegates. Through a variety of workshops, keynote lectures, cultural exhibitions, tourism experiences and networking opportunities, the conference will explore Scotland's agricultural system and how it builds and leverages relationships between people working in the rural economy and those in research, education and consultancy, to improve the sustainability of rural land use in Scotland. Field demonstrations A key aspect of the conference is the specialized field days , with a variety of tours covering topics such as "Environmental Initiatives, Organic and Diversified Agriculture" or "Technology and Performance Improvement in Livestock Businesses." In addition, attendees can participate with their panels/posters to present their projects , plans, educational and advisory methods, and new ideas related to this year's central theme. The Union of Farmers and Ranchers of La Rioja (UAGR) has organized a day dedicated to the presentation of the InnovAC-Eco Project , dedicated to studying the presence of phytosanitary residues in olive oils, originating from drifts of applications on other crops, focusing on the herbicidal active ingredient Prosulfocarb. Even if the maximum limits authorized for consumption are not exceeded, their mere presence does represent an impediment to the certification of organic oils , thus reducing their profitability. Technology to prevent drift from phytosanitary treatments Within the framework of this project, a prototype technology capable of detecting product drift in real time has been developed. The work has also served to raise awareness among cereal growers about the drift caused by their treatments. No prior registration is required.

This is the fourth and last of their series of webinars on the role of the agri-food sector in the European Union. A series of talks that focus on the more strategic vision of the sector in terms of its policies, profitability, the farms themselves and the people who are part of the sector. BioCultura is celebrating its 30th edition at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, and is witnessing the rise of organic production, sales and consumption. BioCultura, like every edition, has the firm intention of continuing to surprise visitors with the latest developments in the organic sector. The proposals are increasingly varied and make it easier for us to adopt healthy habits and consume more responsibly. BioCultura is the largest fair for organic products and responsible consumption in the state and will bring together this year some 400 exhibitors dedicated to the sectors of organic food, organic cosmetics, sustainable fashion, healthy housing, responsible tourism, renewable energy, sustainable mobility, crafts and NGOs. More than 300 activities will be held in parallel to the exhibition and some 50,000 visitors are expected.

On April 26 and 27, the National Association of Extensive Livestock Farmers ( ANGGEX ) is organizing its 1st National Congress , where experts, researchers and professionals from the extensive livestock sector will share their knowledge, experiences and advances in research. During the Congress , activities, workshops, conferences and round tables related to the CAP, extensive livestock farming, native breeds, nutritional aspects and future prospects for the sector will be held.
