The first session on “The evolution of the CAP and the current CAP” was held on 6 March. The second session will be on Wednesday, March 12, from 12:40 to 14:30, in classroom 3. Armando Martínez, Coordinator of Agriculture and Food at the Andalusian Government, will participate in this session as a speaker on the topic. On Thursday 13 March, the conference will focus on “Rural development interventions”. Juan Antonio Jaén Téllez, Technical Advisor and Official of the Andalusian Government, will address this topic. The objective of this technical workshop is to deepen knowledge of the mechanisms that facilitate soil improvement, the factors that increase organic matter, understand how they work and how we can enhance them, as well as point out which practices can be negative. The results of studies on vineyard soil management, carried out by INCAVI, will be presented with the aim of defining sustainable strategies that promote the quality of grapes and wine. IRTA will consider introducing new molecular analysis technologies that allow us to understand soil biology, better understand how it works, and improve its management. Furthermore, the natural mechanisms that plants use to obtain nutrients and other benefits through active exchanges with soil microbiology will be presented. PROGRAM | REGISTRATION

Digitalisation in the agricultural sector is a crucial challenge, especially for a wide range of small and micro-sized agricultural companies (SMEs), as well as for the state administration, which must coordinate with the Autonomous Communities and the European Union. In this context, the event will analyse the challenges and opportunities posed by digitalisation within the legislative framework of the CAP-27 and the Nature Restoration Law , including aspects such as the Digital Exploitation Notebook (CUE) and its integration with the databases managed by FEGA in Spain. The event will bring together experts from the administration and private companies who will share their experiences in the development of technological solutions for connectivity and data management. After the presentations, there will be a round table where attendees will be able to interact directly with the professionals.

The Conference will bring together the best of agricultural and rural innovation in Europe. The objectives are: to highlight the successful implementation of the EIP-AGRI through GO projects as one of its main pillars, and to learn from this experience for the implementation of projects under the CAP 2023-2027. The conference programme will include plenary sessions with keynote speakers and interactive discussions showcasing concrete stories of relevant GOs. It will also celebrate the establishment of over 3,400 GO projects across the EU. The event will create opportunities to further disseminate and improve project results, and will help participants better understand the broader scope of topics that GOs can address during the CAP period 2023-2027.
