From 10 to 12 December 2024 , Brussels will host the second edition of the EU Agri-Food Days . This annual event brings together key players in the agri-food sector from across the European Union to discuss the latest trends in agriculture, policy options and market developments, as well as the impact of research, innovation and digital technologies on the future of European agriculture. Over three days, the event will provide a unique platform for dialogue between stakeholders in the agri-food system, civil society, academia and policy makers. The 1st National Meeting of Young People and Hosts participating in the Cultiva Program will take place in Madrid on November 27. This program promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food provides young people from rural areas with access to on-site training, guided by the managers of model farms, examples of good practices and the implementation of innovation in the sector. In order to bring together the participants of the CULTIVA Programme (young people, hosts of model farms and management entities) from the 2020 to 2023 editions, and to create a network among all of them to discuss this initiative and the generational change in the agricultural sector, this meeting will take place, which will include discussion panels and activities that promote the exchange of experiences. Until September 5, those professionals who want to get started in promoting R&D&I projects can apply to participate in the new Seminar for Advisors on R&D&I Projects of the European Union , which the CDTI is organizing between October 14 and 17, 2024. This is the 29th edition of an event aimed primarily at organisations with the capacity to participate in Horizon Europe , and specifically, at people whose main activity is supporting the participation of Spanish entities in research, technological development and innovation activities financed by the European Union through Horizon Europe and related initiatives. The aim is for participants to acquire the necessary skills to advise their researchers, their organisations or other entities in order to guide and adapt their proposals to the calls for Horizon Europe , working in a network with other organisations. Additionally, for those attendees familiar with R&D&I projects, the Seminar contributes to training them to prepare and elaborate proposals in their area of competence. On July 3, the conference "Models of international transfers: university and business" will take place, which is part of the EIV-UPM 2024 activities program at the Boadilla del Monte Campus. The transfer and collaboration between science and business is one of the main weaknesses of the Spanish STI system, but also one of the greatest opportunities for progress. The Conference will bring together the best of agricultural and rural innovation in Europe. The objectives are: to highlight the successful implementation of the EIP-AGRI through GO projects as one of its main pillars, and to learn from this experience for the implementation of projects under the CAP 2023-2027. The conference programme will include plenary sessions with keynote speakers and interactive discussions showcasing concrete stories of relevant GOs. It will also celebrate the establishment of over 3,400 GO projects across the EU.
