The 1st National Meeting of Young People and Hosts participating in the Cultiva Program will take place in Madrid on November 27. This program promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food provides young people from rural areas with access to on-site training, guided by the managers of model farms, examples of good practices and the implementation of innovation in the sector. In order to bring together the participants of the CULTIVA Programme (young people, hosts of model farms and management entities) from the 2020 to 2023 editions, and to create a network among all of them to discuss this initiative and the generational change in the agricultural sector, this meeting will take place, which will include discussion panels and activities that promote the exchange of experiences. On the verge of its 40th edition, BioCultura Madrid will once again show that “bio” is not/was not a fad and that it is here to stay. The fair will be held in November at the Feria de Madrid-Ifema venue. The sectors will be: Organic food; Certified eco-natural cosmetics and hygiene; Healthy home; Sustainable fashion; Eco Lifestyle; Health and Wellbeing, NGOs… It is expected that 400 exhibitors will participate and that more than 50,000 visitors will once again be expected. More than 300 activities will be held in parallel to the exhibition. Ángeles Parra, director of the fair, commented that “it would be very difficult to summarise these almost 40 years of fairs, activism, rebellion and social awareness. We have never been a fad. Time has proved us right. The future will be ecological or it will not be.”

The 57th edition of the Lorca livestock, industrial and agri-food fair, SEPOR, will be held on October 28, 29, 30 and 31, 2024 in Lorca, Murcia Its programme includes the presentation of new products and solutions for the sector, as well as an extensive programme of conferences and talks.

From 10 to 13 September 2024 , Edinburgh will become the capital of agricultural advice. The city will host the respective annual sessions of the three main European rural advice networks (IALB, EUFRAS and SEASN) that come together to form this major event with the motto "Adapting to zero emissions" for 2024. The event thus consolidates its position as the largest agricultural advice and consultancy conference in Europe. 63rd IALB, 13th EUFRAS and 10th SEASN 2024 Conferences The aim of the conference is to bring together consultants from across Europe to explore how different countries integrate education and research with consultancy to deliver best practice and achieve truly effective information and innovation transfer . This year, the programme promises an interesting mix of inspiration, learning, networking and knowledge for delegates. Through a variety of workshops, keynote lectures, cultural exhibitions, tourism experiences and networking opportunities, the conference will explore Scotland's agricultural system and how it builds and leverages relationships between people working in the rural economy and those in research, education and consultancy, to improve the sustainability of rural land use in Scotland. Field demonstrations A key aspect of the conference is the specialized field days , with a variety of tours covering topics such as "Environmental Initiatives, Organic and Diversified Agriculture" or "Technology and Performance Improvement in Livestock Businesses." In addition, attendees can participate with their panels/posters to present their projects , plans, educational and advisory methods, and new ideas related to this year's central theme. The Agrarian Technological Institute of Castilla y León ( ITACyL ) and the Agri-Food Industry Association of Ávila ( Avilagro ) have organized a networking day to promote innovation in the food industry in the province of Avila. The Ministry of Science and Innovation has published the 2023 call for the National Innovation and Design Awards . The total budget of the awards increases in this edition to 160,000 euros and the call includes, for the first time, the 'Young innovative talent' modality, aimed at people under 36 years of age. These awards are Spain's most important recognition in the fields of innovation and design and distinguish people and entities that have made innovation an indispensable element in the development of their professional strategy and business growth. Likewise, they distinguish professionals and companies that have contributed significantly to increasing the prestige of Spanish design and entities that, incorporating it into their business strategy, have demonstrated that design is a powerful lever of innovation and competitiveness. According to Order CIN/186/2023, of February 21, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of the National Innovation and Design Awards, natural persons with full capacity to act, who can be candidates, may be candidates. They have Spanish nationality or are residents in Spain and legal entities that have at least one permanent establishment in Spain, validly constituted. The following categories are included within the innovation awards: National Innovation Award in the 'Innovative Career' modality, aimed at people with a career of at least fifteen years in which innovation has been one of the relevant characteristics. National Innovation Award in the 'Large Innovative Company' category, aimed at large companies with innovative activity for at least fifteen years.
