EXCHANGE OF LEADER EXPERIENCES: RURAL WOMEN IN THE AREAS OF CONCILIATION, CO-RESPONSIBILITY, GENDER PERSPECTIVE, SOCIAL ECONOMY AND SUSTAINABILITY

Connect with Rural Development Description Background and context The National Rural Network (RRN) is focusing its Action Plan these months on the issue of women, through a series of activities designed to respond to the needs detected through: interviews with territorial agents, survey carried out with rural women , and two meetings of the Thematic Group “Rural Women 2022”, held on May 17 and 18 , 2022; with the aim of identifying their main problems and needs. Through these detected needs, as well as information collected in other activities and conferences of the NRN, the following topics of great interest have been considered to be addressed in this day of exchange of LEADER experiences around rural women: Bioeconomy and sustainability Conciliation, co-responsibility and gender perspective Social economy with a gender focus Likewise, these themes are considered transversal factors that directly influence the viability of sustaining life in rural areas. Exchange objectives Learn about experiences of projects led by women, both LEADER projects and other inspiring experiences, in relation to conciliation and co-responsibility, gender perspective, social economy and sustainability. Reflect on the opportunities that the new social, economic and environmental scenarios represent for rural development, and the determining role of rural women in these new scenarios. Identify actions to develop in rural regions that combine the promotion of women, the socioeconomic progress of populations and environmental sustainability. Target audience Local action groups (technical staff, managers and associates), public administrations, social, cultural and economic action entities, and anyone who is interested in the role of women as a driver of rural development.
