Description
Through our organic farming course in Lozoya (Madrid) you will learn in a practical way the main tasks of an organically cultivated garden: seedbeds, raised beds, irrigation, pest control, sowing, soil management, composting, vermiculture, chicken coop, etc.
This essentially hands-on course is aimed at those interested in creating an organic garden for personal consumption or for socio-educational purposes, whether in rural or urban settings. No prior knowledge is necessary. It is also a very useful workshop for urban gardens and container gardens.

Throughout the day we will cover the following topics: What is organic production? – Basic concepts about plants – Growing in containers and small spaces – Substrates – Irrigation – Vegetables: botanical families and plant needs – Distribution and organization of crops. How to design an organic garden – Maintenance tasks – Garden health – Disease prevention and control – Pest control – Seed saving and preservation – The organic chicken coop – Raised beds – Preparing irrigation systems – The moon and plants – Plant compatibility and intercropping – Mulching – Permaculture
