This training program is aimed at:

Female livestock farmers who are already developing their activity in the sector, in their own, family or employed livestock farms.
Women who wish to join the livestock sector. In this case, they must demonstrate prior knowledge and/or experience in livestock management.
IMPORTANT: It is a requirement to reside in Castilla y León to participate.


Goals

To equip participants with tools and knowledge that will enable them to implement measures aimed at:

  1. To increase and/or optimize the profitability of their livestock farms, providing students with knowledge in innovation, new technologies and developments applied to farm management and animal handling.
  2. Implement environmentally sustainable and animal welfare practices that allow them to benchmark their production in the market.
  3. To increase students' practical knowledge of farm management, enabling them to make informed decisions. This includes equipping students with tools related to cost-benefit analysis, production cost optimization, different production systems, legal structures for businesses, and personnel management, thereby facilitating their decision-making. The course also expands their knowledge of financing options and subsidies.
  4. To provide them with tools that allow them to optimize the time dedicated to work and improve the working conditions of the staff employed in order to contain staff turnover and improve the reconciliation with personal/family life.
