BIOPLAT and CIEMAT launch the 3rd edition of the Online Course on Biogas and Biomethane

The Spanish Technology and Innovation Platform 'Biomass for the Bioeconomy' (BIOPLAT) and the Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT) , in collaboration with the Spanish Biocircularity Association (BIOCIRC) , are organizing the third edition of the online Biogas and Biomethane Course , which will take place from October 20 to 24, 2025 .
This training program brings together more than 25 leading experts and is designed to offer a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of the potential of renewable gases in Spain , considered a key element in the energy transition.
Who is it for?
The course is aimed at professionals in renewable energy, agri-food, livestock, bio-waste management, engineering, investment funds, consulting firms, and public administrations who wish to delve deeper into the entire biogas and biomethane value chain.
Course contents
Over five days, participants will learn:
- Raw materials and biogas production technologies .
- Biomethane upgrading processes .
- Business models and applications .
- Social and public acceptance aspects .
- National, regional and European regulations and rules .
The program will feature representatives from entities such as MITERD , IDAE , the Andalusian Regional Government , and the Generalitat of Catalonia , among others.
