Technical Session 4 | Foundations of Water Management and Stewardship in Regenerative Agricultural Production Models
Description
For almost a year and a half, the Juana de Vega Foundation (A Coruña) and the company Agroassessor (Girona) have been jointly promoting the "Technical Conferences and Seminars for the Promotion of Regenerative and Sustainable Agriculture" (see more information here), subsidized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in Galicia and Catalonia.
This technical workshop is the last of those included in the program.
The event aims to demonstrate how regenerative techniques can improve water use and conservation and prevent production losses due to water stress, an increasingly common situation in a changing climate.
The fundamentals of keyline design will be addressed, which improves water infiltration, preventing runoff, and is especially recommended for agroforestry systems located on land with some slope.
Specifically, this in-person session will be held simultaneously in the two communities organizing this program. The sessions will be led by Robert Mandeo Salvá of The Regen Academy .
