Training Course on the influence of digitalization on society

The training course on the influence of digitalization on society, part of the PI.C1 program of the iRiego project, will be held from August 6 to 8, 2025. This online training course, with a total duration of 16 hours, is aimed at irrigation and water management professionals interested in the modernization and digitalization of the sector.

PROGRAM:

Day 1. Wednesday, August 6, 2025

• 9 hours . Welcome and Module 1: Influence of digitalization on the population: Concept of digitalization and its impact on daily life. How digitalization contributes to population stability and employment in rural areas. Case studies on improving quality of life through digitalization.
• 12 hours . Break
• 12:30 p.m. Module 1 (Part 2). Activity: Group discussion on personal experiences related to digitalization and its impact on the community.

Matchday 2. Thursday, August 7, 2025

• 9 hours. Module 2. The influence of digitalization on entrepreneurship: digitalization as a driver of innovation and entrepreneurship. Examples of startups that have emerged to address the challenges of digitalization. Digital tools that facilitate the creation and management of new businesses (digital marketing, e-commerce, etc.).
• 12-12:30 pm . Break
• 12:30 p.m. Module 3. The influence of digitalization on women's incorporation into agriculture: Testimonials from agricultural influencers about their experience with digitalization. Roundtable discussion with the influencers where participants can ask questions and reflect on the impact of digitalization on their work.
• 1:30 p.m. Module 3 (Part 2): Analysis of women's role in the agricultural sector and how digitalization has facilitated their participation. Success stories and examples of women who have led digital initiatives in agriculture.

Matchday 3. Friday, August 8, 2025

• 9 hours. Module 4: Reflections and the Future of Digitalization. Reflections on the future of digitalization in society and its potential impacts.
• 12 hours . Break
• 12:30 p.m. Module 4 (Part 2). Activity: Creating a personal or professional plan to implement digital strategies in your context.

• 1:30 p.m. Final module. Summary of lessons learned. Questions and answers. Course evaluation (satisfaction survey).
