Description

On November 20 and 21, 2025, the 1st International Congress on Regenerative Livestock Farming will take place at the University of the Balearic Islands , in Palma (Mallorca), under the title “Profitability and environmental services” .

This event is aimed at all stakeholders involved in extensive and regenerative livestock farming, whether from the private, public, or academic spheres. Its purpose is to highlight and promote various productive initiatives aimed at improving sustainability in its economic, social, and environmental dimensions; promote the use of biological resources; and support traditional practices within the framework of organic farming and extensive livestock farming.

Under the theme "profitability, society, and environmental services," the Congress will examine livestock farming practices that contribute to climate change adaptation and mitigation, as well as the marketing of their products, while also addressing the main challenges facing the sector.

The event is being organized within the context of the PASTURE+ project : livestock products that restore natural capital, contribute to the fight against climate change, and promote rural development. This initiative is supported by the Biodiversity Foundation , part of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), financed by the European Union through NextGenerationEU funds.
