Description

On June 10th , CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) participated in the establishment of the first Andalusian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster focused on the agri-food value chain, a key milestone toward a more sustainable and efficient production model. The founding assembly, chaired by the Minister of Agriculture of the Andalusian government, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, marks the beginning of a pioneering project promoted by the Regional Government to strengthen collaboration between companies, science, and government in the agri-food sector .

The non-profit cluster, led by the La Caña Group, brings together 14 key entities in the sector, including leading companies, research centers, universities, and institutional representatives. CTA, represented by its Director of Consulting and International Projects, David Páez, and innovation consultant María García, combines their expertise to accelerate innovation and the transition toward a more circular economy in the Andalusian agri-food sector.

This initiative is part of the Circular Bioeconomy Action Plan 2025–2030 , positioning Andalusia as a European leader in integrating sustainability into the agri-food chain. The cluster is a strategic tool for promoting more responsible use of resources, reducing waste, and generating value through technological innovation and the circular economy.
