SAVIA, the first project of the Agri-Food Cluster of the Community of Madrid, has been presented.
Description
As a result of active collaboration with the Health, Safety and Food Quality panel of MadriFood (the Agri-Food Cluster of the Community of Madrid), its first project was submitted this week to the CPP24 call of the State Research Agency .
Under the name SAVIA , this R&D project, valued at more than 1 million euros, brings together several Cluster partners with an ambitious goal: to develop functional planning products designed to promote healthy aging .
SAVIA will employ advanced technologies such as precision fermentation, bioactive compound extraction, and microencapsulation of a natural sweetener with a sweetening power up to 2,000 times greater than sucrose. This combination of science, biotechnology, and advanced formulation seeks to offer innovative solutions that improve quality of life and strengthen the sector's competitiveness.
Since the Working Groups began in September of last year, more than 60 professionals have actively participated, representing the leading companies and organizations in the Madrid agri-food sector. This high level of participation underscores the sector's commitment to public-private collaboration and the development of new solutions for future challenges.
If you, too, would like to be part of this initiative and contribute your ideas, you can join the Cluster's Working Groups.
